Peacock Soars Onto YouTube: New Limited-Ads Tier Unlocks Primetime Channels
Peacock's Premium Plus tier is now available for subscription through YouTube Primetime Channels, expanding access to NBCUniversal's extensive library of entertainment and live sports. This integration is part of a multiyear agreement between NBCUniversal and Google, bringing content like the FIFA World Cup and popular shows directly to the YouTube app. The service offers a wide range of programming, from blockbuster movies to original series and exclusive live sports.
Peacock's Premium Plus tier, offering a wide array of entertainment and sports content from NBC, Bravo, Telemundo, and more, is now accessible directly through the YouTube app. This subscription option is available via YouTube Primetime Channels in the U.S. and is priced at $16.99 per month. This particular Peacock package includes limited ad breaks, positioning it as the priciest option available through this integration. It is important to note that the more affordable Peacock Premium plan, which includes ads and costs $10.99 per month, is not currently available for subscription through YouTube.
The integration of Peacock Premium Plus into YouTube Primetime Channels is a key outcome of a comprehensive multiyear agreement between NBCUniversal and Google, which was initially announced in the fall of 2025. This broader pact also encompassed the continued carriage of NBC broadcast stations and NBCUniversal's full suite of cable networks on YouTube TV, along with the relaunched NBC Sports Network (NBCSN).
YouTube Primetime Channels serves as a strategic hub designed to retain streaming subscribers within the YouTube application itself. This model is analogous to the premium channel-store offerings provided by other major platforms like Amazon Prime Video and Roku. Beyond Peacock, other prominent services available on YouTube Primetime Channels include NFL Sunday Ticket, HBO Max, Paramount+, and Fox One, consolidating various streaming options for users.
Peacock, which originally launched in 2020, boasts an extensive content library. Its live sports offerings are robust, featuring events such as Sunday Night Football, NBA, MLB, Big Ten and Notre Dame College Football, Premier League, and WNBA. Additionally, Peacock subscribers gain access to Telemundo content, which includes exclusive coverage of all FIFA World Cup 2026 matches and associated programming in Spanish, along with a variety of news, sports, and entertainment. Select World Cup matches will even offer a free 10-minute preview of the live event on Telemundo Deportes’ YouTube channel.
The platform also hosts a strong collection of original shows like “Love Island USA,” “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “The Traitors,” “All Her Fault,” and the popular sitcom “The Office.” Universal movies are also part of the Peacock offering. Looking ahead, Peacock has several exciting series in development, including “The Five Star Weekend,” starring Jennifer Garner, Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, D’Arcy Carden, and Gemma Chan; “Dig,” from Amy Poehler and Mike Schur, with Poehler also in a starring role; and “Crystal Lake,” a highly anticipated “Friday the 13th” prequel featuring Linda Cardellini.
