Lucid's Gravity GT-S Breaks Cover: A New Era for Powerful 3-Row SUVs Begins!

The 2027 Lucid Gravity GT-S is poised to redefine the three-row SUV segment, claiming the title of the most powerful model available in the U.S. This new electric vehicle (EV) boasts an astonishing 1,070 horsepower, surpassing its rivals, the now-discontinued 1,020-hp Tesla Model X Plaid and the 1,025-hp Rivian R1S Quad. Lucid continues its tradition of high-performance EVs, drawing inspiration from its own Lucid Air Sapphire, a vehicle celebrated for its 1,234 hp and a blistering 0-60 mph time of just 1.9 seconds, making it one of the quickest four-door cars ever tested.

While the Gravity GT-S, set to debut at the 2026 Monterey Car Week festivities, may not match the Air Sapphire's extreme acceleration, it still promises formidable performance for a large luxury three-row SUV. Lucid projects the GT-S will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a swift 3.1 seconds, an exceptionally rapid pace for a vehicle designed to transport families and their cargo. Although specific technical details remain largely under wraps, it is anticipated that the GT-S will utilize a refined version of Gravity’s existing dual-motor system.

To enhance its dynamic capabilities, the Gravity GT-S will come standard with a Dynamic Handling Package. This package is engineered to significantly improve the SUV's overall agility and high-speed stability without compromising on ride comfort. Furthermore, the GT-S is expected to incorporate features already part of the Gravity lineup, such as rear-wheel steering and an adaptive three-chamber air suspension. These technologies are crucial in ensuring the vehicle maintains composure and responsiveness despite its immense power output.

Visually, the Gravity GT-S features subtle yet distinctive design cues. Enthusiasts will notice blue accents on the Gravity script located on the C-pillar, the Lucid Bear logos adorning the fenders and wheel caps, the prominent 'S' badge, and the brake calipers. The interior extends this special theme, with blue seat belts, intricate stitching, and elegant piping extending across both the first and second rows.
