Akosombo Substation Blaze Sparks Recovery Efforts, Mahama Calls for Modernisation
Ghana is set to construct an ultra-modern power control centre following a fire at the Akosombo Dam, an incident President Mahama described as an "act of God" that offers an opportunity for modernization. Energy Minister John Jinapor confirmed the new centre will enhance electricity management and integrate AI for real-time monitoring, as engineers work to restore the damaged dam units.
