The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has voiced serious concerns regarding alleged post-election violence targeting its members and supporters across the state. In a statement released on Tuesday by its Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the party warned that such continued violence could destabilize Osun State and potentially lead to a fresh crisis. The APC specifically accused supporters of the Accord Party of orchestrating these attacks following the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) declaration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the governorship election.

The party detailed several alleged incidents of violence. On Monday, some APC members were reportedly attacked in Oke-Fia, Osogbo. Similar incidents of violence were also reported at Amudaoba in Modakeke and in Iba, Ifelodun Local Government Area. Furthermore, the APC alleged that the residence of one of its members, identified as Akibu Olateju, was destroyed at Ilie in Ifelodun Local Government Area. In Modakeke, four motorcycles belonging to APC members were reportedly burnt shortly after the election results were announced. The shop of a female APC member was also allegedly destroyed, with the party claiming a video circulating on social media depicted individuals whipping the woman with horse tails.

Beyond individual attacks, the APC claimed that the alleged violence had extended to local government areas and motor parks. The party stated that certain individuals, aided by armed hoodlums, were attempting to forcefully take control of council premises and motor parks.
