BBNaija S11 Drama Heats Up: Abi Crowned HoH, Aikou & Flora Face Eviction Battle
Big Brother Naija Season 11 recently saw a major shake-up as Flora and Aikou lost their Gambit status, making them eligible for eviction and the grand prize. Concurrently, Abi achieved a notable milestone, becoming the Head of House for the second time this season.
The Big Brother Naija Season 11 has seen significant twists and turns, most notably with the reversal of the 'Gambit' status for two of its housemates, Flora and Aikou, and the emergence of a two-time Head of House winner, Abi.
A major development, dubbed ‘Operation Release the Gambit’ by the organisers, was introduced during the live eviction show on Sunday evening. This twist culminated in a viewer vote on Monday, which ultimately led to the stripping of the Gambit titles from both Flora and Aikou, rendering them eligible for possible eviction and full participation in the race for the N160 million grand prize.
Flora, who had previously held the title of the female Gambit since the first week of the season, lost her special immunity on Monday. During a diary session with Big Brother, she was informed of her reinstatement as a full-fledged housemate. Big Brother stated, “You have been reinstated as a full-fledged housemate. This means you can now play for the prize money. This also means that you will be up for possible eviction, just like every other housemate. Your fate lies in the hands of the voting public.” Flora acknowledged the change, signifying her return to the general pool of housemates competing for the prize money and facing the risk of eviction.
Similarly, Aikou, who was voted as the male Gambit for Season 11 and had enjoyed immunity from eviction for four weeks, also lost his special status on Monday. The 'Operation Release Gambit' vote by viewers led to this change. Big Brother communicated this to Aikou during his diary session, stating, “I would like to inform you that your time as the Gambit has come to an end. This also means that you will be up for possible eviction, just like every other housemate. Your fate lies in the hands of the voting public. Remember, this must remain between you and Big Brother. You may now leave.” As Gambits, both Flora and Aikou were previously protected from eviction but were notably ineligible to win the grand prize. Their role as Big Brother’s secret agents, tasked with carrying out missions to influence the show, has now concluded, placing their fate in the hands of the voting public.
Meanwhile, in a separate but equally significant development, housemate Abi has once again claimed the coveted Head of House (HoH) title for Week 6. This marks her second time achieving this feat in the ongoing Season 11 edition, having previously secured the title in Week 4. Abi emerged victorious after defeating Gerard in the final round of the demanding HoH game on Monday. Her double win makes her the first female housemate this season to hold the HoH title twice, a feat only matched by male contestant Chimsom Chuka. Big Brother congratulated her, exclaiming, “Osha prapra. Abi, congratulations. Abi, for the second time this season, you’re the Head of House.” This achievement grants her immunity from eviction for the week and special privileges within the Big Brother Naija house.
