Taylor Swift Reigns Supreme: 'The Life of a Showgirl' Tops Billboard 200 for Fifth Week

Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, continues its remarkable dominance, holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for a fifth consecutive week as of the chart dated November 15. The album earned 120,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. during the week ending November 6, marking an 18% decline from the previous week. Swift becomes only the second artist in 2025 to spend the first five weeks atop the chart, following Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem, which held No. 1 for eight of its first twelve weeks.

Streaming equivalent albums (SEA) accounted for 98,000 units (down 18%), translating to 129.07 million on-demand official streams, securing Swift’s fifth week at No. 1 on the Top Streaming Albums chart. Album sales contributed 18,000 units (down 21%), dropping the album from No. 3 to No. 4 on Top Album Sales, while track equivalent albums (TEA) slightly increased 11% to 4,000 units.

Other notable Billboard 200 movements included Florence + the Machine debuting at No. 4 with Everybody Scream, marking their fifth top 10 album. The release tallied 56,000 equivalent album units, led by 44,000 in traditional album sales, boosted by multiple vinyl and CD variants, including signed editions. Tyler, The Creator’s CHROMAKOPIA surged from No. 117 to No. 5 following its one-year anniversary reissue, earning 51,000 equivalent units, a 390% increase.

The remainder of the top ten featured the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack at No. 2, Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem at No. 3, Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend at No. 6, Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving at No. 7, SZA’s SOS at No. 8, Wallen’s One Thing at a Time at No. 9, and Cardi B’s AM I THE DRAMA? at No. 10.

The Billboard 200 ranks the most popular U.S. albums weekly based on equivalent album units, combining traditional album sales, TEA, and SEA. One unit equals one album sale, ten individual tracks sold, 3,750 ad-supported streams, or 1,250 paid/subscription streams. Luminate ensures all chart data is verified before publication.
