Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, was appointed Director-General, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma will serve as Secretary, with Senator Ajibola Bashiru and Hadiza Bala-Usman named Deputy and Assistant Secretaries respectively.
The council also includes senior political figures such as Bisi Akande, Segun Osoba, Rochas Okorocha, Abdullahi Adamu and Florence Ita Giwa as advisers, alongside other leaders assigned roles across mobilisation, administration and regional campaign coordination.
The campaign structure features Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as Deputy Director-Generals, while Senator Adams Oshiomhole will oversee mobilisation and James Abiodun Faleke will lead election planning, coordination and monitoring.
The council also contains dedicated directorates for election planning, legal affairs, media and strategic communication, with figures including Muiz Adeyemi Banire, Mohammed Idris Malagi, Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga, Lanre Issa-Onilu and Segun Dada assigned key responsibilities. Additional officials have been appointed across the six geopolitical zones, while five spokespersons will support the party's communication strategy ahead of the election.
Tinubu charged council members to work toward securing an APC victory, arguing that his administration had delivered on its campaign promises and placed Nigeria on a path toward economic progress. He urged party leaders to broaden their outreach and encourage other members to participate in the campaign, while emphasizing the need to showcase the administration's record to voters.
The President also called on the council to confront opposition forces seeking to return the country to what he described as a period of decline, setting the tone for an increasingly competitive 2027 political contest.
