After much anticipation, the return of OzzFest has been officially confirmed for 2027. The iconic rock and metal festival, which has been a staple in the music world for decades, will make its comeback next year at Villa Park in Birmingham, as announced on the festival’s official Instagram page. This 42,000-capacity stadium holds significant meaning, having hosted Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s emotional farewell show, “Back to the Beginning,” in July 2025. While the specific dates and lineup are yet to be revealed, the organizers have promised that more information will be shared soon.

OzzFest was originally conceived by Ozzy Osbourne’s wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, in 1996. The idea emerged after Lollapalooza declined to book Ozzy for a performance. From its inception, the festival quickly grew into an annual event, touring extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe until 2008. Since then, OzzFest has made sporadic appearances, with its most recent installment taking place in 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Over its storied history, the festival has showcased a multitude of legendary acts, including Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Foo Fighters, Tool, Deftones, and Slipknot, among many others.

The return of OzzFest has been a passion project for Sharon Osbourne, especially following Ozzy’s passing in 2025. She has frequently expressed her desire to revive the event, revealing earlier this year to Billboard that negotiations with Live Nation were underway for a 2027 comeback.
