Influencer Mowed Down by X Factor Finalist Outside London Nightclub

A social media influencer, Klaudia Zakrzewska, known online as Klaudiaglam, has tragically died after allegedly being run over by a former X Factor finalist outside a nightclub in London. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, April 19, near the Inca venue on Argyll Street in central London. Ms. Zakrzewska, 32, from Essex, was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead on Saturday, six days after the crash.

Gabrielle Precious Carrington, 29, also known as RIELLEUK, was initially charged with attempting to murder the TikTok and Instagram personality. Following Ms. Zakrzewska's death, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the charge has been amended to murder. Carrington, of Broadfield Road, Manchester, faces additional accusations including dangerous driving, being nearly twice the drink-drive limit, and causing injuries to two other pedestrians involved in the same collision.

The incident, involving a black Mercedes car, also left a 58-year-old man with life-changing injuries. A third woman, aged in her 30s, sustained minor injuries. Police were called to the scene at 4:30 AM on Sunday following reports of the crash. The Metropolitan Police has stated that the incident is not being treated as terror-related.

Klaudia Zakrzewska, a Polish-born model with over 250,000 followers on Instagram, had posted videos from the nightclub just hours before the tragic event. Her mother, Kinga, set up a GoFundMe page to cover legal fees and medical costs, which has since raised nearly £18,000. In a heartfelt message on the page, Ms. Zakrzewska's mother expressed the family's devastation, describing her daughter as a "truly wonderful" person who had touched many with her "pure heart and kindness." The funds will now go towards funeral costs and continuous support for the grieving family.

Gabrielle Carrington's past includes reaching the live finals of The X Factor in 2013 as part of the girl group Miss Dynamix, where she impressed judges like Gary Barlow. More recently, she has also established herself as an influencer, boasting approximately 362,000 followers on Instagram. Carrington appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on April 21 and has been remanded into custody. Her next court appearance is scheduled for May 19 at the Old Bailey.

Det Chief Insp Alison Foxwell, leading the investigation, extended deepest sympathies to Klaudia's family and friends. She urged the public to refrain from further speculation and to avoid sharing graphic footage of the incident out of respect for the victims and to prevent any potential prejudice to the ongoing criminal investigation and future court proceedings.
