Ghostface Strikes Again! Neve Campbell's Sidney Prescott Returns in Jaw-Dropping 'Scream 7' Trailer

Ghostface is set to return, and Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for Scream 7, reigniting excitement for the iconic horror franchise.
Announced in August 2023, the latest installment follows Neve Campbell’s beloved Sidney Prescott as she faces a new, relentless Ghostface killer targeting her and her daughter.
Campbell, a cornerstone of the Scream series, returns after missing Scream 6 due to a pay dispute, having helped revive the franchise with Scream 5.
She will be joined by fan-favorites Courteney Cox and David Arquette, while Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley make surprising returns as their deceased characters, offering an intriguing twist for long-time fans.
The cast blends familiar faces and newcomers.
Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown reprise their roles, while fresh talent—including Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, McKenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mark Consuelos, and Ethan Embry—joins the fray.
The first four films—Scream (1996), Scream 2 (1997), Scream 3 (2000), and Scream 4 (2011)—were directed by the late horror master Wes Craven.
For Scream 7,Kevin Williamson, who created the series and wrote the first, second, and fourth films, returns as both writer and director.
The film is produced by William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein.
Production faced major challenges, including SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, creative overhauls, and cast departures.
Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter) left following social media comments about Israel, and Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter) exited due to a scheduling conflict with Netflix’s Wednesday.
Despite these setbacks, Scream 7 is scheduled for theatrical release on February 27, promising a fresh and terrifying chapter in the enduring saga, with the new trailer offering a glimpse of the chilling suspense that awaits.
