Urban Terror: Four Teens Arrested After Shocking Manchester Stabbing of 13-Year-Old!

Four teenage boys have been arrested after a 13-year-old boy was stabbed in Manchester city centre, an incident that prompted a significant police response. Officers were dispatched to the Arndale shopping centre on Tuesday evening, October 27, following reports of the stabbing.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) stated they were called at 7 PM to Market Street, specifically outside the Arndale on Withy Grove. A 13-year-old boy was found with injuries consistent with knife wounds and was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Following a rapid investigation, four teenage boys were arrested. Three boys, aged 14, 15, and 16, were taken into custody on suspicion of affray and are currently being questioned. A fourth boy, aged 13, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

The scene at the Arndale shopping centre saw a considerable police presence, with a lift area near the Roller's café taped off. Multiple police vehicles, including a forensics van, were observed on High Street and Withy Grove. GMP has announced that there will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues to provide reassurance to the public.

Superintendent Simon Nasim from GMP's City of Manchester team expressed his thoughts for the injured boy and wished him a swift recovery. He noted that while GMP is aware of other incidents of this nature in the city centre, they are not currently believed to be linked to this particular event. Superintendent Nasim underscored the police's commitment to ensuring community safety, stating that their priority is to take effective action against those involved in anti-social behaviour and criminality.

Addressing public concern over knife crime, Superintendent Nasim confirmed that dedicated teams would be deployed across the city centre's hotspot areas to reinforce the response to violent crime and offer reassurance to the community. He reiterated that hate and violence will not be tolerated in Greater Manchester, and robust action will be taken against individuals causing harm to vulnerable and young communities.

Superintendent Nasim also appealed for public cooperation, emphasizing the importance of reporting anything suspicious or any incidents. He urged anyone with information regarding the incident, including witnesses or those possessing CCTV or mobile phone footage, to come forward to assist the ongoing investigation.
