TOMORROW X TOGETHER Unveils Cryptic Tracklist for Highly-Anticipated '7th YEAR' Mini-Album

TOMORROW X TOGETHER, the renowned K-pop group featuring members SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, and HUENINGKAI, officially unveiled the tracklist and concept photos for their highly anticipated eighth mini album, titled 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns. The album and its lead single's video are slated for release on April 13, following a video teaser for the lead single on April 11.
Thorns play a pivotal role in the visual language of this six-track mini LP. The concept photos, shared across the band's social media platforms, showcase different color-coded versions of the upcoming release in striking pink, purple, green, and yellow hues. Prior to this, the group teased the EP's imagery and vibe with a concept trailer featuring a figure in a spiky all-black leather suit and spine-covered mask, walking through a city with the intriguing caption, 'From where does anxiety arise, and how may this pain be stilled?'
Further deepening the album's thematic exploration, four distinct concepts—'THORN,' 'HUNGER,' 'TENSION,' and 'ANXIETY'—were introduced, each representing specific emotional states tied to the central metaphor of thorns. The 'THORN' concept employs monochrome visuals to evoke a sense of rebirth, signifying a new beginning at the threshold of color absence. 'HUNGER' delves into the void remaining after an emotional storm, contrasting the members' serene expressions in pajamas against a backdrop of thorn-covered debris. The 'TENSION' concept portrays a restless stillness, with thorns in the wallpaper appearing to loom ominously over the members. Lastly, 'ANXIETY' depicts the group in a surreal forest, symbolizing a profound acceptance of the unknown and a quiet readiness for future challenges.
The lead single, 'Stick With You,' is an electro-pop track characterized by an addictive, high-impact chorus and a vintage 909 drum sound infused with elements of techno punk. Lyrically, it captures the desperation of holding onto a drifting relationship, portraying the inability to let go of a partner preparing for a breakup and yearning for 'just one more day.' This yearning also parallels the group's own determination to cling to their dreams and move forward, marking a renewed starting point rather than a conclusion as they enter their seventh year together.
The album opens with 'Bed of Thorns,' a track inspired by the idiom 'you’ve made your bed, now lie in it,' conveying a message of fully embracing the consequences of one’s choices. The third track, 'Take Me to Nirvana,' features Vinida Weng and captures the exhilarating rush of liberation that follows letting go of uncertainty. Other tracks on the mini-album include 'So What,' '21st Century Romance,' and 'Dream of Mine,' which thoughtfully concludes the album with a note of anticipation, embracing tomorrow as the future remains unknown.
7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns serves as the follow-up to their previous success, last summer’s fourth full-length studio album, The Star Chapter: TOGETHER, which notably debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Looking ahead, TOMORROW X TOGETHER is set to headline KCON LA 2026 on August 16, delivering an hour-long solo set, further cementing their global presence.
