Saturday Night Live U.K. (SNL U.K.) is preparing for its second season, launching with significant momentum after a successful debut. The show has announced the addition of comedian Freddie Meredith to its cast, who joins the returning ensemble to infuse new energy into the acclaimed sketch series.
Freddie Meredith, recognized for his roles in “Such Brave Girls” and “Big Boys,” also has credits in “Andor” and “Make That Movie,” the latter penned by his new co-star Paddy Young. He recently received an award for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe for his show “Need a Light?” and was nominated for the Best Newcomer Award. Meredith, a London native, expressed immense enthusiasm about joining the iconic comedy show, calling it “a no brainer” and asserting it will “undoubtedly inform everything I do for the rest of my career.” His diverse background, including drama school training, theater, stand-up comedy, and online sketches, alongside significant acting credits, provides him with an unusually valuable skill set for a show that demands immense versatility from its performers.
