Pete Davidson's Paternity Dream Comes True as Star Awaits First Child

Comedian and actor Pete Davidson, 31, and model Elsie Hewitt, 29, have announced they are expecting their first child together, marking a significant and joyous new chapter for the couple. Hewitt shared the exciting news on Wednesday, July 16, through a series of intimate posts on Instagram, which included cherished photos of the pair and videos from an ultrasound. Her caption, "Welp now everyone knows we had sex," humorously confirmed their impending parenthood, an announcement that quickly garnered widespread attention and congratulations.

The news fulfills a long-held dream for Davidson, who has openly expressed his desire to become a father. In a 2022 conversation with fellow comedian Kevin Hart, Davidson stated, "My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid. It’s like my dream." He further elaborated on his excitement, noting, "It would be so fun to dress up a little dude. I’m so excited for, like, that chapter. So that’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now. I’m trying to be as good as a dude and develop and get better so when that happens, it’s just easier." Confirming the news in a July 22 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Davidson gushed, "I honestly couldn’t be more excited. It’s been my dream forever since I was a little kid. The baby’s mother is one of my favorite people to ever exist ever. She’s going to be a great mom and I’m just stoked. I hope to be the dad I hoped that I would have.” His sentiments were echoed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he reflected, “Everything else doesn’t really matter anymore. It’s nice.” This deep longing for fatherhood is particularly poignant given the tragic loss of his own father, a New York City firefighter, during the September 11, 2001, attacks, when Davidson was just seven years old.

Davidson and Hewitt were first spotted publicly in March, according to the Associated Press, and their relationship has largely been kept private, a stark contrast to Davidson’s previous high-profile romances with figures such as Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Madelyn Cline. Hewitt made their relationship Instagram official days after their initial sighting, occasionally sharing glimpses of their time together. Similarly, Hewitt has been linked to other notable personalities in the past, including Ryan Phillippe, Benny Blanco, and Jason Sudeikis.

The announcement prompted a wave of support and excitement from their inner circle and beyond. Rapper Machine Gun Kelly, a close friend of Davidson's, commented on Hewitt's post, "These playdates bout to hittttt," celebrating the future of their friendship extending to their children. Hewitt’s best friend, model Meredith Mickelson, also shared her joy, exclaiming, “My bestie is having my mini bestie which means my life is complete,” adding, “HEHEHEHEHEHE. I’M SO HAPPY. BEST MOMMY EVERRRRR.” E! News reported that Davidson's mother, Amy Waters, is equally thrilled, with a source claiming, “She can’t wait to become a grandma!”

In addition to this joyous news, Elsie Hewitt has also openly shared her personal health journey, including her struggle with endometriosis. The model underwent surgery for the condition in November and spoke candidly on TikTok in December about the symptoms and pain she has experienced, highlighting how it has impacted her professional life. This transparency has resonated with many, adding another dimension to her public persona.

As Pete Davidson prepares for his most significant role yet as a father, the couple's journey into parenthood is met with anticipation and heartfelt well-wishes from family, friends, and fans alike, marking an exciting new chapter for the pair.
