A tragic incident at TSL Halogen Company in Itori, Ogun State, has left 26-year-old security guard Ayineka Ayomide Daniel dead from a bullet wound to the neck, allegedly fired by a police officer he had roused during a suspected armed robbery. The deceased, a National Diploma holder in Business Administration, was working to build his future when his life was abruptly cut short. His family, led by his father, Mr. Ayineka Oluwashola, and younger sister, Miss Ayineka Folashade, initially received confusing calls about Ayomide being in a fight or at a police station before the devastating news of his death reached them. Their grief was compounded by what they describe as the cold indifference of TSL Halogen Company, which allegedly failed to directly contact the family, attend the burial, or offer adequate support, even though they reportedly covered casket and transportation costs.
