Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State and Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the flag-off, confirmed that preparations are in full swing. Following an inspection of the facilities at the Kaduna Township Stadium, the designated venue for the event, on Wednesday evening, Dr. Balarabe expressed satisfaction with the progress made.
Dr. Balarabe highlighted that essential facilities, including the holding area, conveniences, and pavilions, are all ready to accommodate the anticipated large crowd. The only remaining task is the marking for the various states. Emphasizing the paramount importance of safety, the Deputy Governor stated that the LOC has engaged in extensive deliberations regarding security measures, both before, during, and after the presidential rally. These discussions involved seasoned security professionals at both state and federal levels. She assured the public of their safety within the arena, noting that all attendees would undergo screening before gaining access to the stadium.
The LOC anticipates a significant turnout of party members and supporters from across the nation, driven by the understanding that the North West region is a strong bastion for the APC. Adding to this, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, the Commissioner of Information and Culture, disclosed that mobilization efforts are actively ongoing. He also noted that hotels and service apartments within the Kaduna metropolis are fully booked, indicating the scale of the expected attendance. Commissioner Maiyaki conveyed the state's sense of privilege and honor in hosting the maiden campaign rally, stating that the citizens of Kaduna are eagerly awaiting President Tinubu's arrival. He further underscored that hosting this inaugural campaign event provides a crucial opportunity for the people of Kaduna State to emphatically demonstrate their unwavering support for both the President and the APC party.
