No Doubt Revival! Gwen Stefani Teases 'Nostalgic' Sphere Residency

Christmas has arrived early for Gwen Stefani and her dedicated fanbase, as the veteran pop singer embarks on a multifaceted year-end celebration. Headlining these festivities is the highly anticipated reunion of her iconic band, No Doubt, for a residency at the MSG-owned Sphere in Las Vegas. Beyond the band's return, Stefani is also contributing to the holiday spirit with a new Christmas song, "Shake the Snow Globe," which is featured in a festive holiday movie. Additionally, her acclaimed 2017 yuletide album, "You Make It Feel Like Christmas," has received an updated deluxe release. Stefani recently discussed her incredibly busy year-end and her dream of securing the weeks-long slot at the Sphere during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Regarding the No Doubt residency, Stefani expressed her excitement to Fallon, recalling the band's "unbelievably amazing" performance at Coachella in 2024. She revealed that the band had been discussing a reunion for years, working slowly to find an event that would be as impactful. Stefani believes the Sphere represents "the future," describing it as "a cross between a concert and a movie." Initially, 12 No Doubt shows were booked for May 2026, which quickly sold out. As a result, an additional six "final" dates have been added for June 2026. Stefani envisions these Sphere shows as a nostalgic journey, hoping to transport attendees back in time, stating, "I want people to come and make it feel, like, really nostalgic. Like they’re back in time. Like, ‘remember this? Remember this, guys?’ Like, this is what we did together.’" She confirmed that the bandmates are actively planning the show and the setlist to ensure it will be "so awesome."

No Doubt, which emerged from the vibrant ska and punk scene of Anaheim, California, in 1986, evolved to become one of the defining pop-rock bands of the 1990s. Their breakthrough album, "Tragic Kingdom," famously topped the Billboard 200 chart for nine consecutive weeks. Throughout their career, the band achieved significant commercial and critical success, including five top 10 albums on the all-genres tally, eight hits on the Billboard Hot 100, two Grammy Awards, and nine nominations. After nearly three decades together, No Doubt went on hiatus in the mid-2010s as Gwen Stefani successfully pursued her solo career. Since their split in 2015, the band has only performed twice, with their most recent appearance being at the 2025 FireAid benefit concert in January, prior to the upcoming Sphere engagement.

Before the highly anticipated Sphere shows, Stefani is also fully immersed in the Christmas season, a time of year she particularly enjoys. Her 2017 album, "You Make It Feel Like Christmas," has been reissued as an Amazon-exclusive deluxe edition, featuring two new songs, including "Shake the Snow Globe." This new track also appears in the holiday film "Oh. What. Fun." Stefani shared a memorable encounter with the film's stars, Michelle Pfeiffer and Denis Leary, recounting, "I was like, ‘am I in high school right now?’ Like it’s so weird. I’m standing in a room with these guys. And they’re really just icons." To further spread the holiday cheer, Stefani performed "Shake the Snow Globe" for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon's studio audience.
