Night Shyamalan's highly anticipated romantic drama, "Remain," has officially unveiled its first trailer, offering a glimpse into an unsettling and mysterious relationship set to captivate audiences. The film marks Shyamalan's return to the director's chair, promising his signature blend of suspense and intricate storytelling after a relatively quiet period.

The trailer for "Remain" masterfully shifts tones, initially presenting what appears to be a joyous montage of young couple Wren (Phoebe Dynevor) and Tate (Jake Gyllenhaal), evoking the feeling of a lighthearted romantic comedy. However, this facade quickly shatters as Wren, distressed, asks Tate, "Why can’t we be together?" to which he cryptically whispers, "I think you know." The unsettling sequence escalates dramatically, showing Wren seemingly preparing to slam her head against a bathroom wall before inexplicably disappearing right in front of Tate, setting a profoundly mysterious and disquieting mood for the film.

Warner Bros. has released an official synopsis for "Remain," detailing the story of a grieving architect who moves to Cape Cod for work after leaving a psychiatric facility. The film draws inspiration from a novel of the same name, co-written by Nicholas Sparks in collaboration with Shyamalan.
