Gravenberch, Salah, and Van Dijk Nominated for Premier League Player of the Season

Ryan Gravenberch, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk have been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award for the 2024-25 season. The Liverpool trio played significant roles in the Reds' championship-winning campaign, which saw them crowned champions in April with four games to spare. Their contributions have earned them a place on the shortlist alongside five other players: Morgan Gibbs-White, Alexander Isak, Bryan Mbeumo, Declan Rice, and Chris Wood.
Salah and Van Dijk have the opportunity to win the award for the second time in their careers, with Salah previously winning in 2017-18 and Van Dijk in 2018-19.
In addition to the main Player of the Season award, Ryan Gravenberch has also been nominated for the Premier League Young Player of the Season award. Gravenberch is among an eight-player shortlist after an outstanding campaign where he contributed to Liverpool's championship win. As a midfielder, Gravenberch adapted to a deeper-lying position under head coach Arne Slot, starting in all 34 of the Reds’ top-flight fixtures.
Gravenberch's competition for the Young Player of the Season award includes Liam Delap, Anthony Elanga, Dean Huijsen, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Morgan Rogers, and William Saliba.
Voting for both awards is open until 12pm BST on Monday, May 19, and the winners will be announced on May 24.
