I can confirm that D2 Ferris State University will hire Bob Pietrack as their new head men’s basketball coach. Pietrack will replace Andy Bronkema who took over as the head coach at Central Michigan earlier this spring.

Pietrack had spent nine seasons as the head coach at D2 Fort Lewis before stepping away back in 2024. During his tenure at FLC, he went 189-75 (.716) and 131-60 (.686) in RMAC league play.

The veteran head coach was named as the 2024 Red Auerbach Coach of the Year by the Jewish Coaches Association after guiding the Skyhawks to their second consecutive season with a 29-4 overall record and capturing the RMAC Tournament Championship. He also won 24+ games in five of his nine seasons at Fort Lewis.

Pietrack had served as an assistant with the program for 11-seasons before being elevated to head coach in 2015.
