National Taskforce Addresses Hajj Service Claims

Collins Dauda, the former Minister of Works and Housing and Chairman of the National Hajj Taskforce Ghana, has refuted allegations of subpar services provided to Ghanaian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage. According to citinewsroom.com, Dauda dismissed these claims as propaganda, asserting that the services rendered to the pilgrims were of the highest quality.
Dauda questioned the basis of the complaints, stating, "I’ve been pronounced dead before, but I still live. Several people have been pronounced dead on social media, yet they still live. We all know the extent to which social media can divert attention and mislead people." He implied that social media often distorts the truth and misleads the public.
Addressing specific concerns, Dauda used an analogy: "If you have a hotel accommodating about 6,000 people and one room’s air conditioner is a problem, is there an issue? It shouldn’t be an issue. It shows clearly where the person is coming from." He suggested that minor issues are inevitable and should not be blown out of proportion. He further added, "It happens everywhere; in your homes, don’t you encounter situations from time to time?"
