Breaking: AKA Murder Suspects Extradited to South Africa for High-Stakes Trial
Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, the two brothers accused of the murders of renowned rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and his friend Tebello Motsoane, are set to be extradited from the Kingdom of Eswatini to South Africa on November 11. This development marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation into the high-profile killings that occurred in Durban.
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development has confirmed that all necessary logistical arrangements are firmly in place for their handover to the South African Police Service (SAPS). Department spokesperson Terrence Manase indicated that more specific details regarding their initial court appearance in KwaZulu-Natal will be released subsequent to their arrival in the country.
The Ndimande brothers, identified as Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande and Malusi Dave Ndimande, have been detained in Eswatini for several months, during which they actively contested their extradition to South Africa to face trial in Durban. Despite their efforts, the legal process has culminated in their impending return.
Upon their arrival, the brothers are expected to face a range of serious charges. These include murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. These charges relate to the fatal shooting of AKA and Motsoane, which took place outside the Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on February 10, 2023. Police authorities at the time characterized the incident as an "organised hit." Tragically, the Wish restaurant subsequently closed its doors permanently following the incident.
