Alexander Brothers Accused: Victims Speak Out as Lawyers Dismiss '0 Evidence' Claims

Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander, a trio of brothers renowned as luxury real estate moguls in Miami and New York City, are currently facing serious allegations of rape and sexual assault. Accusations from over 60 victims, including a minor, detail alleged incidents dating back to 2009. The brothers have pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking charges and have vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
Federal prosecutors assert that the Alexander brothers, Oren (39), Alon (38), and Tal (38), “worked together and with others known and unknown to repeatedly and violently drug, sexually assault and rape dozens of victims” between 2009 and 2021. Allegations suggest the brothers promised women luxury experiences in exchange for sex. Miami Herald reporter Ana Claudia Chacin, who has spoken to several alleged victims, noted the “eerily similar” stories, where women were reportedly drugged or consumed excessive alcohol, leading to incapacitation and an inability to consent.
Conversely, the Alexander brothers’ defense attorneys, Edward O’Donnell and Joel Denaro, contend that the claims made by the accusers are fabricated and financially motivated. They highlight the unusual timing, stating that for 10 to 15 years, no accusations were made, and then “all of a sudden, at one time, in the same exact window frame, every single person that you’ve heard of that has accused the Alexander brothers of assaulting them came through a personal injury lawsuit trying to sue them for money.” O’Donnell further asserts there is “zero physical evidence” or rape kits from any accusers he is aware of. The defense also pointed to an email from December 2024, where an alleged victim inquired with a prosecutor for recommendations for lawyers handling civil cases against the brothers, stating, “I would like to sue.” The prosecutor reportedly responded with names and emails of attorneys pursuing civil cases, which the defense views as evidence of financial opportunism. However, a representative for the District Attorney’s office clarified that the email was a response to a direct question, not a referral.
Alleged victims and their representatives offer counterarguments regarding the delay in coming forward. Reasons cited include intense feelings of shame, fear of not being believed, and apprehension due to the brothers’ perceived status and wealth in society. Lindsey Acree, one alleged victim, initially sought to file a lawsuit anonymously to avoid being “known for” her assault. Maria Suska, another accuser, shared her experience from a 2014 party where she was allegedly attacked after being invited to dinner with other women, later taken upstairs by Oren. Suska admitted she didn’t file a police report at the time due to fear but did so last December. Chacin described a “domino effect,” where women felt more empowered to speak out as others shared their stories, breaking years of silence and bottled-up memories. One woman even reported trying to file a police report but was dismissed after police claimed she willingly consumed marijuana and was not given a rape kit at the hospital.
An attorney for one of the alleged victims criticized the defense’s stance, calling it “predictable and pathetic that counsel for the Alexanders is name-calling the victims as opportunistic for seeking civil remedies after being [allegedly] trafficked and raped.” The attorney emphasized that holding the Alexanders financially accountable is the alternative to changing their fate and erasing the horrors they suffered. In July, Oren and Alon Alexander’s legal team filed a motion to dismiss a New York lawsuit, presenting flirty messages and nude pictures the woman allegedly sent to the brothers after her purported attack.
The Alexander brothers are currently being held without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. Their trial is scheduled for January 2026, where they will continue to fight the accusations, some of which are eight to twelve years old.
