Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen remains a hot commodity in the transfer market, drawing interest from top European clubs and recent speculation linking him to Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal. Despite numerous bids and rumors, Turkish champions Galatasaray are firmly committed to retaining their star forward, who is under contract until 2029 and is central to their future plans.
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continues to attract attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, but Galatasaray appear determined to keep their star forward in Istanbul. The 27-year-old has been linked with Tottenham, Barcelona, Arsenal, Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United following his prolific spells at Napoli and Galatasaray. Despite the extensive interest, none of the reported suitors has yet made a move capable of convincing the Turkish champions to part with him.
Galatasaray have maintained that they have no intention of selling Osimhen this summer, with the player also publicly expressing his happiness at the club. His contract runs until June 2029 without a release clause, giving Galatasaray significant control over any potential transfer, while reported approaches from Atlético Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham have all failed to change the club’s position.
Reports linking Osimhen with Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have also added to the speculation, although transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has disputed the claims, saying the club are not currently pursuing the Nigerian forward.
Galatasaray’s determination to retain Osimhen is also driven by his importance to the club’s ambitions after he scored 35 goals and provided seven assists in his first season, helping the team secure a fourth consecutive Süper Lig title and reach the Champions League round of 16.
The club reportedly plans to hand him the iconic No. 9 shirt and captaincy, while a clause from his Napoli transfer could impose a penalty of at least €70 million if he is sold to another Serie A club before September 2027. With a long-term contract, strong performances and Galatasaray’s clear desire to build around him, Osimhen appears increasingly likely to remain in Istanbul despite continued transfer speculation.
