Tinubu's 2027 Gambit: APC Kicks Off Nationwide Mobilization Campaign!

A political support group aligned with the All Progressive Congress (APC), operating under the name Yari 4 Tinubu-Shettima 2027, has initiated an extensive nationwide grassroots mobilization campaign. This significant effort is designed to garner robust support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as they look towards the 2027 general elections.

Addressing members of the press in Abuja on a recent Saturday, the group outlined its comprehensive mobilization strategy, which is set to encompass states across all six geopolitical zones of the country. Furthermore, the campaign's reach will extend to all 774 local government areas, with the explicit aim of solidifying grassroots support for the APC in preparation for the upcoming 2027 elections.

Dr. Francis Chidozie Okoye, the national coordinator for the Yari 4 Tinubu-Shettima 2027 group, highlighted that this initiative will serve as a crucial platform to effectively communicate the administration’s policies and achievements directly to voters at the community level. He confirmed that the inaugural phase of the zonal mobilization is scheduled to commence in the South-East region on October 9, 2026, with a formal flag-off event planned for the International Conference Centre in Enugu. The group also listed additional key locations for future mobilization activities, including Kaduna, Ondo, Benue, Zamfara, Akwa Ibom, Yobe, and the Federal Capital Territory.

As part of its strategic approach for the 2027 elections, the campaign will involve establishing intricate support structures that penetrate down to the polling-unit level. Complementing this, the group announced an innovative initiative titled “Operation Deliver Your Polling Unit,” which will facilitate direct, personalized engagements with voters through door-to-door visits and community-level interactions.

The group also expressed unwavering support for the appointment of former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as the director-general of the ruling All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council. They lauded him as a capable leader well-suited to coordinate the party’s campaign in anticipation of the elections. This endorsement echoes previous statements from APC chieftain Dr. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, who had similarly affirmed that Senator Yari's appointment as director-general of the Tinubu/Shettima 2027 Presidential Campaign Council would significantly bolster the party’s preparedness for the 2027 general elections.

In their statement, the Yari 4 Tinubu-Shettima 2027 group commended the Tinubu administration for its progressive economic and infrastructure policies. They specifically highlighted the impactful activities and contributions of several members of the Federal Executive Council, including the ministers overseeing Works, Interior, Finance, Foreign Affairs, the FCT, Solid Minerals Development, and Industry, Trade and Investment. Concluding their address, the group extended an invitation to all Nigerians who back the current administration to actively participate in these vital mobilization efforts. With the 2027 general elections scheduled to take place next year, political parties and their affiliated support groups are anticipated to intensify their grassroots activities as the electoral cycle steadily progresses.
