Venus Williams Weds Andrea Preti in Multi-Country Extravaganza, Serena Shares Heartfelt Message

Tennis icon Venus Williams has officially tied the knot with Italian actor and producer Andrea Preti, confirming the joyous news on social media. Their wedding celebrations unfolded across two countries, beginning with an intimate ceremony in Italy and culminating in a multi-day celebration in Palm Beach, Florida, with her sister Serena Williams playing a significant role.
The couple first exchanged vows in September during a small ceremony in Ischia, Italy. They had initially planned to hold their main wedding there, but paperwork delays, which can take up to eight months for a foreigner, necessitated a change of plans, leading to a second, larger celebration.
The Florida celebration stretched over five days in Palm Beach. The lead-up included a private courthouse wedding at Miami City Hall, which Venus described as "beautiful, calm, sacred, exciting, and exalting." Andrea also found the courthouse ceremony "very unique, emotional, and deep." Other pre-wedding events featured a boudoir-themed bridal shower, a dinner with family and friends in Miami, and a sports-filled day with loved ones, with each day concluding with relaxed poolside moments at the couple’s home.
Serena Williams, Venus's younger sister and "built-in best friend," was deeply involved in the festivities. She hosted a beautiful yacht gathering for 10 to 12 of their closest family and friends, arranging all the food and entertainment. Venus shared with Vogue, "Serena gave us this gift of a beautiful yacht, and she arranged all the food, everything. We had 10 to 12 of our closest family and friends who were in town on the boat, and we were singing, dancing, gossiping, and just enjoying each other."
The final ceremony took place at the couple’s home, where Venus walked down the aisle to “Ovunque Sarai” by Irama, radiant in a custom Georges Hobeika gown designed to be magical and perfect for a Florida wedding. The bridal party included Serena Williams, Isha Price, and Lyndrea Price, all dressed in tailored suits. Venus and Andrea wrote their own vows, with Venus delivering hers in both English and Italian. After exchanging vows, the couple entered the reception to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and shared their first dance to The Flamingos’ “I Only Have Eyes for You,” rounding off a celebration that reflected their profound bond.
Serena took to Instagram to express her love and pride, posting photos from the festivities and reflecting on their shared journey. She wrote, "My sister’s keeper. Venus, where do I even begin? From the backyard courts to the biggest stages in the world, you’ve always led with grace, strength, and a heart bigger than any trophy. Watching you step into this next chapter surrounded by love felt like watching the sun rise…steady, powerful, and full of promise." She added, "You’ve been my built-in best friend, my protector, my teacher, and my reminder to always walk in purpose. Seeing you this happy, this loved, this radiant… it means everything to me." Serena also gave fans a peek into her wedding-week looks, which included a white strapless mermaid gown with a flowing cape, a tailored white suit, a maxi skirt and crop-top set, a custom bodysuit inspired by Beyoncé’s “Sorry” music video, and a light turquoise dress for the after-party.
As Venus herself put it, "We all love each other so much. It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day.", encapsulating the joy and affection that permeated the multi-country celebrations.
