Ripple Ecosystem Expands: Clearpool Makes Key Leap to XRP Ledger

Institutional credit marketplace Clearpool is undergoing a significant strategic shift, officially transitioning its blockchain operations to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and preparing for a full migration of its native CPOOL token to a new asset, CLEAR. This pivotal move, overwhelmingly approved by the project's community with 97.16% voting in favor, marks the end of the strategic discussion phase and formalizes an alliance with Ripple, targeting the burgeoning sector of on-chain lending backed by real-world assets (RWA Private Credit).

Unlike many traditional DeFi protocols that focus on speculative loans collateralized by volatile crypto assets, Clearpool is establishing critical infrastructure on XRPL designed specifically for financing working capital within the real fintech sector. The pragmatic structure of this collaboration sees Clearpool providing the underlying technology rails and smart contracts, while credit manager Cicada Partners is responsible for auditing borrowers and underwriting risk. Ripple will actively participate in the lending pools as a limited partner. All financing transactions will exclusively utilize the dollar stablecoin RLUSD (Ripple USD), thereby facilitating its initial organic circulation among institutional investors. To further bolster security and compliance, long-standing Ripple partner, custody provider Hex Trust, will implement additional bridges for this arrangement.

The 1:1 token migration from CPOOL to CLEAR is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. This process coincides with a strategic recapitalization, where the initial supply of the new CLEAR asset will increase to 1.125 billion tokens, a rise from CPOOL's previous supply of one billion. To safeguard existing investors from potential dilution, 70% of the newly increased supply will be distributed to current holders at the launch of CLEAR. The development team plans to manage the remaining supply through a strict deflationary mechanism: precisely half of all fees collected by the platform will be used to buy back CLEAR from the open market and permanently burn the acquired tokens.

The technological foundation underpinning this expansion is also being meticulously built for future scalability and growth. Clearpool's product will fully leverage the XRPL's native standards, specifically XLS-65 for regulated single-asset pools and XLS-66 for an unsecured lending protocol. As of early October 2026, these amendments are undergoing testing on Devnet, awaiting the crucial approval from 80% of validators before their full deployment onto the XRPL mainnet.

The market demonstrated a strong positive reaction to the outcome of the governance vote well in advance of the official migration. TradingView charts for October 5, 2026, reveal that CPOOL has decisively broken out of a year-long accumulation range, which typically hovered between $0.013 and $0.020, to reach a price of $0.036554. This current bullish momentum has pushed the price above the medium-term moving average, now at $0.028192, effectively transforming it into a robust support level. With the anticipated asset swap approaching in the fourth quarter, the nearest significant target for buyers is identified as the long-term resistance zone around $0.101003.
