The impact of the explosions was extensive, with shrapnel and debris propelled over 5 kilometers (three miles) from the depot. Several houses in nearby districts were reportedly destroyed by the sheer force of the blasts, painting a grim picture of the devastation. While official casualty figures have not yet been released by the authorities, family members and eyewitnesses have recounted at least four separate fatalities across the city. Residents, such as one man who sought refuge with his family after glass fell on them, described the terror of the ongoing blasts.
