Taylor Swift's 'The Fate of Ophelia' Reign Continues: Fifth Week at Global No. 1!

Taylor Swift’s latest hit, “The Fate of Ophelia,” continues its dominant global run, topping both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts for an unprecedented fifth consecutive week. The track, which debuted at No. 1 on both tallies in October, rebounded to reclaim the summit of the Global 200 while maintaining its lead on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
This milestone marks Swift’s longest-ever reign on the Global 200, surpassing the four-week run of her 2022 smash “Anti-Hero,” and further extends her record-setting dominance on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
Streaming Growth and Remix-Driven Sales Surge
For the tracking week ending January 15, “The Fate of Ophelia” led the Global 200 with 78.3 million streams, a 2% increase week-over-week, alongside 17,000 units sold globally, reflecting a notable 41% jump. The surge in sales was fueled in part by the digital release of the TELYKAST &XanTz remix on January 14, followed by an extended version the following day.
Outside the United States, the song retained its No. 1 position on the Global Excl. U.S. chart with 61.5million streams (up 3%) and 6,000 units sold (up 19%), reinforcing its widespread international appeal.
Chart Methodology and Notable Movements
The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts are compiled by Luminate and reflect streaming and sales activity from more than 200 territories worldwide. Rankings are determined through a weighted formula that incorporates official streams from both subscription-based and ad-supported audio and video platforms, as well as download sales from full-service digital retailers. Direct-to-consumer sales are excluded from chart calculations.
Elsewhere on the charts, Bruno Mars debuted at No. 4 on both tallies with “I Just Might,” the lead single from his upcoming album The Romantic (out February 27). The track earned 60.2 millionstreams and 19,000 sales globally in its first week, marking Mars’ fifth Global 200 top 10. Meanwhile, Zara Larsson’s 2015 hit “Lush Life” surged into the Global Excl. U.S. top 10 for the first time, climbing 13–10 following a 25% boost in streams driven by viral momentum.
Other notable shifts include Djo’s “End of Beginning” slipping to No. 2 after its one-week reign atop the Global 200, HUNTR/X’s “Golden” holding steady at No. 3, and Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need” easing to No. 5. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, RAYE’s “Where Is My Husband!” rose one spot to return to its No. 5 peak.
The charts dated January 24, 2026, will be published on Billboard.com on January 21, delayed by one day due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The top 100 titles are publicly available, with full 200-position rankings accessible through Billboard Pro. Luminate, Billboard’s independent data partner, rigorously audits all submissions to ensure chart accuracy and integrity before publication.
