Stray Kids Unleash Highly Anticipated 'SKZ IT TAPE' Series with 'DO IT'!

K-pop sensation Stray Kids have firmly cemented their position as a global powerhouse, consistently achieving unprecedented success on the music charts. The boyband recently landed their seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with their release, KARMA. This achievement not only marked the biggest entry for the year to-date but also extended their remarkable record of debuting at No. 1 with every single one of their first seven entries on the national albums tally, a streak that began with ODDINARY in 2022.
Their impressive run includes HOP, which in the previous year, made Stray Kids the first act in the 69-year history of the Billboard 200 chart to debut atop the list with their initial six entries. With KARMA, they further pushed this boundary. This seventh No. 1 also propelled Stray Kids past celebrated groups like BTS, Linkin Park, and Dave Matthews Band, securing them the record for the most leaders among groups on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart this century. Among K-pop bands specifically, BTS holds the second spot with six No. 1 titles, while ATEEZ is in third with two.
The success of KARMA was not limited to international charts; in their home country of Korea, it became the first K-pop album of the year to surpass 3 million copies in first-week sales. Following this momentum, Stray Kids released their new EP, “DO IT”, on November 21st, via JYP Entertainment. This five-track EP marks the first installment of the SKZ IT TAPE series, which embodies a musical command to “act boldly with confidence right now” and delves into the group's narrative of seizing opportunities and forging their own identity.
Beyond their studio releases, Stray Kids have also been setting new benchmarks on the live performance circuit. The band concluded their Dominate World Tour on July 30th at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico, completing a 2025 tour leg that spanned Latin America, Europe, and North America. This tour segment broke Boxscore records for both revenue and attendance in each visited region. Prior to this, their 2024 tour dates saw them whipping up frenzies across Asia, with stops in Seoul, Tokyo, and Bangkok, and in Australia, performing in Melbourne and Sydney. With the release of “DO IT,” the group is poised to potentially replicate their chart-topping success on the Billboard 200 once again.
