Snoop Dogg Joins Eli Roth's Wild New Horror Flick 'Don't Go in That House, Bitch!'

Renowned rapper Snoop Dogg is set to expand his presence in the horror genre by not only producing the upcoming film “Don’t Go in That House, Bitch!” but also starring in it and contributing to its soundtrack. This collaboration with director Eli Roth marks a significant step for Snoop Dogg, who has long expressed interest in establishing Death Row Films. Eli Roth confirmed Snoop Dogg's starring role at the Bvlgari Eternal Vimini party, detailing their shared vision for a uniquely intense haunted house movie.
Roth described “Don’t Go in That House, Bitch!” as the "ultimate haunted house movie," aiming to blend elements from iconic horror films such as “House,” “House by the Cemetery,” “Hausu,” and “Friday, the 13th.” The film's premise revolves around characters repeatedly entering a perilous house despite evident dangers, echoing the common frustrations of audiences yelling warnings at the screen during horror movies. Roth explained that these characters will serve as a "Greek chorus," embodying the audience's reactions and disbelief at the characters' poor decisions.
The script for this highly anticipated horror project was completed over the holidays, following a fake trailer released in August. While Snoop Dogg is confirmed to star, no other cast members have been announced yet. Production is slated to commence in June, with budgeting currently underway. Roth plans to apply for the California tax credit, expressing a desire to shoot the film in Los Angeles to leverage local talent and resources.
Beyond "Don't Go in That House, Bitch!", Snoop Dogg is also lending his musical talents to another of Roth's projects, “Ice Cream Man.” Roth revealed that Snoop Dogg has composed original score pieces, distinct from his usual hip-hop style, which Roth found "incredible" and plans to feature in a significant section of the movie. Additionally, Snoop Dogg has written a song for “Ice Cream Man,” which Roth hopes to use during the end credits. This isn't their first collaboration; Roth previously directed Snoop Dogg’s “La La La” music video in 2012.
In other news, Eli Roth provided an update on the sequel to his successful 2023 film “Thanksgiving.” Production for the sequel has been temporarily delayed. This postponement is due to scheduling conflicts with star Addison Rae’s concert tour and co-star Milo Manheim’s commitment to toplining the live-action adaptation of “Tangled.” Despite the delays, Roth assured that all involved parties are keen on proceeding, stating, "Everybody wants to do it. I’m gonna have it locked and loaded, and we’ll find a time when we’re all available." He anticipates a few weeks of fun when they eventually resume filming.
