Shocking Twist: Diddy Organizes Prison Thanksgiving While Incarcerated

Sean “Diddy” Combs, currently serving his first year at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, took the initiative to support his fellow inmates this Thanksgiving. The 56-year-old disgraced hip-hop mogul organized and funded a Thanksgiving meal for 1,000 inmates at the federal correctional institution on Thursday (Nov. 27), as reported by TMZ. Through his representative, Diddy conveyed his philosophy for the holiday, stating, “Thanksgiving, to me, is about making sure other people eat. Everybody misses their family. People get depressed during the holidays. We just wanted to come together as a family and do our own thing.”
Collaborating with a group known as Bankroll Bosses, Diddy and others meticulously collected commissary food and dedicated two days to its preparation. They then successfully distributed the meals to every housing unit within Fort Dix. The festive Thanksgiving-Day menu featured traditional items such as roast turkey with trimmings, mashed potatoes, corn, and dessert. Despite the logistical challenges of prison life, including the absence of proper cooking materials like microwaves or stoves, the group ingeniously used ID cards to cut the food.
Diddy’s presence at Fort Dix dates back to October when he was transferred there to commence his 50-month sentence. His conviction in July on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution also resulted in a court order to pay a $500,000 fine and serve five years of supervised release. Currently, Combs’ legal team is actively challenging both his July conviction and the four-year prison sentence. Reflecting on his experiences, Diddy shared with TMZ, “There’s a lot of misinterpretations about prison. There is a strong brotherhood. We all look out for each other. It’s nothing but a positive thing. It’s like a little bit of home in a dark place.”
