The 73rd Miss World grand finale, held in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, saw remarkable achievements from African delegates, with South Africa's Romanda Hombir being crowned Miss World Africa 2026. Hombir, a 27-year-old clinical audiologist and community health advocate from Mpumalanga, made a significant impact by placing in the Top 6 of the global competition, marking South Africa's highest placement at Miss World since 2014.
