Primark's 'School Run Mum' Coats: The Ultimate Cozy-Chic for Chilly Mornings!

As autumn ushers in cooler temperatures, making school runs chilly, one fashion-savvy mum has unveiled a stylish yet practical solution from Primark. Seema, known on TikTok as @seema.stylesofficial, enthusiastically shared her discovery of Primark’s Shower Resistant Jacket, which she believes is perfect for maintaining a glamorous look while staying warm during morning drop-offs.
The coat is offered in two distinct styles to suit varying needs and preferences. A cosy fleece-lined version is available for £34, providing extra warmth for colder days. Alternatively, a lighter, non-fleece option can be purchased for £30. Seema was particularly impressed with her find, exclaiming, “Mamas! The school run just got stylish.” She encouraged her followers to “Run, don’t walk, to @Primark!” highlighting that the fleece-lined raincoats come in versatile chocolate brown and beige, described as "SO cosy." For those seeking a less bulky option, shorter styles without the lining are also available.
These long coats are ideal for layering over various outfits, from trousers to dresses, ensuring warmth and style throughout the autumn season. The "shower resistant" feature is a significant benefit, offering protection against unexpected light rain during outdoor activities like school drop-offs. Seema’s clip resonated widely, garnering over 2,700 likes, with many viewers expressing their eagerness to acquire the coat. Its appeal extended beyond parents, as some commenters suggested the coats would be perfect for dog walks or even for university students braving the cold. User feedback confirmed the product's comfort and desirability, with one person remarking, “I have this! Super comfy.”
Coinciding with this popular fashion find, Primark is also rolling out a significant new initiative: a trial service for clothes repair and alterations in its Manchester Market Street store. This pioneering high street fashion chain has partnered with 'The Seam,' a dedicated care and repair firm, to offer same-day services to its customers.
To access this convenient service, shoppers are advised to book an appointment online via Eventbrite. However, walk-ins are also welcomed, subject to the availability of 'The Seam Maker.' During an appointment, customers will discuss the specific repair or alteration their item requires. The item can then be fixed within 20 to 30 minutes, or customers can opt to return later in the day for collection. The pricing structure is highly accessible, with simple services starting from just £3 and capped at a maximum of £10. Primark is committed to making this service affordable for all, actively subsidizing the cost. This trial service is scheduled to operate every Friday, commencing from September 26 and continuing until December 19, and will be located on the lower ground floor of the store. This new offering underscores Primark's evolving approach to retail, providing both trendy apparel and practical solutions for garment maintenance.
