Parents Face Fury Over 'Truly Eclair' and Other Outrageous Baby Names

A US couple, Aubree and Josh Jones, recently sparked a significant online debate after sharing their children's distinct names on social media. The couple, who currently have six children and are expecting their seventh, posted a video on their Instagram account, @whataboutaub, detailing which parent was responsible for choosing each child's name. Aubree playfully hinted at Josh's unique naming preferences, stating, "If you heard his picks, you would understand.."
The clip quickly went viral, garnering over 1.4 million views and 10,000 likes, as viewers eagerly anticipated the reveal. However, the unique monikers chosen for their offspring elicited a strong, overwhelmingly negative reaction from the online community, with many commenters suggesting that neither parent should be entrusted with naming any more children.
The names of their six children, and the breakdown of who chose them, were as follows: The eldest daughter was named Trendy Chanelle, with Aubree selecting the first name and Josh the middle. Their second child, Zaylee Ruth, had both names chosen by Aubree. Sunny Love, their third child, was named with Aubree picking the first name and Josh the middle. Their fourth daughter, Truly Eclair, followed a similar pattern, with Aubree choosing the first name and Josh the middle. Journey Rey was the fifth child, with both names selected by Aubree. Finally, their sixth child, Rocky Joshua, was a joint effort, with both parents contributing to the name.
Despite the parents' apparent affection for their unconventional choices, the comments section of their viral video was filled with criticism. Social media users expressed disbelief and concern, with one person sarcastically remarking, "These are great names for a Labubu." Another commenter directly questioned the parents' judgment, writing, "You realise you're naming humans right?" The sentiment that the couple should cease naming children was echoed repeatedly, with one user bluntly stating, "Neither of you should be allowed to name children actually." Other comments included, "What are you naming... dogs?" and a stark warning, "Kids are going to have a rough time in school.” Many users simply advised, "Never pick a name again," underscoring the widespread disapproval of the couple's naming choices.
