Palantir's 22-Point

Palantir, the surveillance and analytics firm, published a 22-point summary of CEO Alex Karp's book The Technological Republic — and it's raising eyebrows.

The document argues that Silicon Valley owes a moral debt to the US and that "free email is not enough" as a contribution to national defense.

It takes aim at critics of AI weapons, saying adversaries "will not pause to indulge in theatrical debates" — and that an AI-driven era of deterrence is already beginning.

Most controversially, the summary criticises "vacant and hollow pluralism", suggesting some cultures have produced "wonders" while others have been "regressive."

Bellingcat's Eliot Higgins called the post an attack on democratic pillars — verification, deliberation, and accountability, dressed up as philosophy.

The statement comes as congressional Democrats investigate Palantir's role in the Trump administration's immigration enforcement and deportation strategy.
