Nigerian Star 2baba's London Arrest Prompts Urgent Family Intervention
Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, famously known as 2Face, was reportedly arrested in London following a heated altercation with his new wife, Natasha Osawaru. This incident, which occurred during a concert tour in the United Kingdom, was confirmed by Kaka Igbokwe, 2Face's former manager and son of late music legend Christy Essien-Igbokwe. The arrest fueled rumors after 2Face failed to appear at a scheduled show on October 2, 2025, with reports indicating a dispute erupted shortly after their arrival at the airport.
Kaka Igbokwe, who was on the same flight and part of the London team, validated these reports during an Instagram Live session. He recounted that Natasha, a lawmaker in the Edo State House of Assembly, became upset when she felt 2Baba abandoned her upon landing, walking off with fans who had whisked him away into a shop. Realizing she had been left behind, the “African Queen” star reportedly rushed back to her, leading to a heated exchange that culminated in his arrest and handcuffing. A video of the arrest, posted by blogger Tosin Silverdam on TikTok on December 1, 2025, has since reignited public discussion about the event.
Weeks after the initial drama, Hyacinth Idibia, 2Face's younger brother, publicly addressed the controversy. In an emotional Instagram post, Hyacinth shared lyrics from one of 2Face's songs, adding a poignant message: "You've always been ahead, always been brilliant. Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow it's unfolding in real time... Painful reality. Allow us save you, Oyinem'. You've been suffering for too long. God knows." This statement marked the first public comment from the Idibia family regarding the ongoing marital tensions.
The London incident, which drew police attention, was just one chapter in the couple's escalating marital drama. Tensions resurfaced more recently during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where Natasha and 2Face openly clashed on camera, leaving viewers astonished. These viral exchanges have fueled widespread speculation about deeper issues within the marriage, leading many fans to express significant concern for the singer's emotional and mental well-being.
Hyacinth's heartfelt message is now widely interpreted as the clearest indication yet that the Idibia family is stepping in, signaling that their concern for 2Face's situation may have reached a critical level. The public continues to watch for further developments in this unfolding saga involving the prominent music figure and his wife.
