Netflix Sails High: 'One Piece' Season 2 Unleashes Release Date and First Look!

Netflix has officially announced the highly anticipated return of its live-action adaptation of "One Piece," with Season 2 scheduled to premiere on March 10, 2026. This renewal comes swiftly after the first season's successful debut in August 2023, which was met with widespread positive acclaim from both critics and fans for its faithfulness to Eiichiro Oda's original manga series. Filming for the second season commenced in June 2024, leading up to its confirmed release date.
Season 2 will continue the thrilling saga of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates as they embark on their ongoing quest to find the legendary "One Piece" treasure, hidden by the former King of the Pirates, Gold Roger. Picking up from their victory over Arlong and the liberation of the Conomi Islands, the crew is set to navigate the extraordinary Grand Line. This fabled stretch of sea promises to unleash fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet, taking the pirates through iconic and bizarre new islands such as Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Capes), Whiskey Peak, Little Island, and Drum Island.
Fans will be delighted to see the return of the main ensemble cast, including Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Other returning stars include Morgan Davies and Jeff Ward. Creator Eiichiro Oda has confirmed that Season 2 will introduce the fan-favorite character Tony Tony Chopper, while executive producer Matt Owens revealed that Dr. Kurecha is slated to play a significant role. The new season will also feature an extensive roster of new cast additions, including Mikaela Hoover, Rigo Sanchez, Yonda Thomas James Hiroyuki Liao, Sophia Anne Caruso, Mark Penwill, Anton David Jeftha, Charithra Chandran, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Katey Sagal, Mark Harelik, Daniel Lasker, Camrus Johnson, Jazzara Jaslyn, David Dastmalchian, Werner Coetser, Brendan Murray, Clive Russell, Callum Kerr, Julia Rehwald, Rob Colletti, Ty Keogh, Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova. They join previously announced new cast members such as Vincent Regan, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Aidan Scott, Langley Kirkwood, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, McKinley Belcher III, Craig Fairbrass, Steven Ward, and Chioma Umeala.
The Netflix adaptation benefits from the creative oversight of Eiichiro Oda as a creative consultant, with Ian Stokes and Joe Tracz serving as co-showrunners and executive producers. Other executive producers include Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, and Steven Maeda. The series is produced by Kaji Productions and Shueisha, the latter also publishing the original manga. Demonstrating strong confidence in the series, Netflix has already renewed "One Piece" for a third season in August, even before the second season's premiere, though a release date for the third installment has not yet been announced.
