Service has resumed at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Isegun branch in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, following a horrific terrorist attack. On November 18, armed men stormed the church during an evening service, resulting in the abduction of 38 members and the killing of several others, including the pastor. This incident drew national attention and sparked widespread condemnation.
In a significant development, all 38 abducted worshippers were successfully rescued. President Bola Tinubu announced their release on Sunday, November 24, confirming he had been closely monitoring the security situation and coordinating rescue operations. President Tinubu underscored his commitment to national security by cancelling a planned trip to the G20 summit in South Africa to oversee the efforts.
