Latin Grammys 2025 Shocker: Bad Bunny and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso Dominate with 5 Wins Each!

The 2025 Latin Grammys celebrated a night of remarkable talent and surprising victories, with Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso and Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny emerging as the biggest winners, each claiming five awards. Despite their distinct musical styles and career stages, both acts frequently competed in the same categories, highlighting a dynamic evolution in Latin music.
Bad Bunny, the anticipated favorite, secured the coveted Album of the Year for his critically acclaimed DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. The album marked a meaningful return to his Puerto Rican heritage, fostering a strong connection to his island's musical traditions. His win was particularly timely ahead of his upcoming Super Bowl LX halftime show. In his acceptance speech, Bad Bunny dedicated the award to the youth of Latin America, urging them to pursue their dreams, remain authentic, and honor their roots. He also took home Best Urban/Urban Fusion Performance and Best Urban Song for DtMF, Best Reggaetón Performance for Voy a llevarte pa PR, and Best Urban Music Album for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.
Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, the critically acclaimed dark horses, proved formidable contenders. Known for their innovative fusion of hip-hop, soul, electronica, and stylized pop, the Argentine duo captured early attention. They won Best Short Form Music Video for #tetas, Best Long Form Music Video for Papota, Best Alternative Music Album for Papota, Best Alternative Song for #tetas, and Best Pop Song for El dia del amigo. Their production team, including Rafa Arcaute and Federico Vindver, shared Producer of the Year honors. Their performance, featuring dancers in Speedos and intricate musical arrangements, showcased a unique blend of theatricality and talent, while their acceptance speeches balanced irony with heartfelt thanks to family, team, and Argentine roots.
Interestingly, neither Bad Bunny nor Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso won the prestigious Record of the Year or Song of the Year, categories where both were heavily nominated, potentially cancelling each other out. Instead, Colombian superstar Karol G triumphed with Song of the Year for Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido, co-written by Edgar Barrera, who earned Songwriter of the Year for the third consecutive time. Spanish music legend Alejandro Sanz unexpectedly took home Record of the Year for his remarkable work, demonstrating the wide diversity of talent celebrated at the 2025 ceremony.
