Heroic Rescue in Kaduna: Troops Liberate 31 Abducted Worshippers, Grim Toll Revealed

Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully thwarted a terrorist attack, leading to the liberation of 31 worshippers who were abducted during an Easter church service in Ariko Village, located in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State. This swift and decisive action by the Army followed a distress call reporting the abduction of congregants during their Easter service at an ECWA Church.
Upon receiving the critical information, the troops promptly mobilized to the scene. With the invaluable support and guidance from members of the Ariko community, they advanced rapidly in pursuit of the fleeing terrorists. The engagement escalated into a fierce firefight, where the Nigerian Army troops, demonstrating superior firepower, overwhelmed the criminals.
The intense pressure exerted by the advancing troops compelled the terrorists to abandon 31 hostages. Among those rescued was one injured victim, who is currently receiving necessary medical attention. Tragically, at the scene of the confrontation, the remains of five victims who had already been killed by the terrorists were recovered.
Evidence at the scene, including blood trails along the escape routes, indicates that the fleeing terrorists are believed to have sustained significant casualties. The Nigerian Army has since intensified its pursuit operations, aiming to track these fleeing elements to their enclaves. Ongoing efforts are focused on rescuing any remaining captives and ensuring that the perpetrators of this heinous act are brought to justice.
To solidify the gains made and bolster security, additional troops have been deployed to the area. This reinforcement aims to enhance the security presence and prevent any further threats to lives and property in the region. The Nigerian Army has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the protection of its citizens and the defense of Nigeria’s territorial integrity, emphasizing its collaboration with other security agencies and local stakeholders. Troops remain resolute in sustaining offensive operations against all threats to national security. The public is strongly encouraged to continue supporting the Nigerian Army and other security agencies by providing timely and credible information, as collective vigilance remains vital for achieving enduring peace and stability.
