First Look: Anthony Bourdain Biopic 'Tony' Trailer Electrifies Fans

A24 is set to release the upcoming Anthony Bourdain biopic, titled “Tony,” in theaters this August. The film stars Dominic Sessa, known for his breakout role in “The Holdovers,” as the younger Anthony Bourdain. Bourdain tragically died by suicide in 2018 at the age of 61.

The film's cast includes Antonio Banderas as Ciro, a Brazilian-born restaurateur who mentors the young Tony. Other cast members are Emilia Jones as Nancy, Tony’s love interest; Rich Sommer as Pierre Bourdain; Stavros Halkias as Dimitri; Leo Woodall as Sal; Michael Jibrin as Tyrone; Caroline Portu as Robin; Monica Raymund as Mary; and Dagmara Domińczyk. The script for “Tony” was written by Todd Bartels and Lou Howe.
