Clippers' Star Struck Again! Jones Faces Another MCL Nightmare

LA Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr. has unfortunately sustained another injury, being diagnosed with a Grade 2 right MCL sprain. This latest setback will require him to be reevaluated in six weeks, according to sources close to ESPN. This marks his second MCL sprain in the same knee within a short period, following an earlier injury that sidelined him for over a month.

The most recent sprain occurred during Saturday's game, a loss to the Boston Celtics. Jones' return from his previous MCL injury had coincided with a significant positive turn for the Clippers, who had been enjoying a six-game winning streak. This impressive run, however, came to an end with the aforementioned loss to Boston.

Despite the concerning news regarding Jones Jr., the Clippers did receive some positive news on Saturday. Big man Ivica Zubac made his return to the court from an ankle sprain that had kept him out of play for two weeks, providing a boost to the team's lineup.
