Caitlin Clark Shatters WNBA Record After Stat Correction and Stellar Performance

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has set a new WNBA milestone after a statistical correction from her game against the Washington Mystics increased her assists from eight to ten. The adjustment gave her an 11th career game with at least 20 points and 10 assists, breaking Courtney Vandersloot’s previous record. Clark later acknowledged the unusual nature of the record but embraced the achievement.

She extended the streak in the Fever’s 89–78 win over the Seattle Storm, finishing with 21 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds in just 24 minutes. That performance marked her 12th career 20-point, 10-assist game and continued her strong start to the season. Clark also emphasized her focus on playmaking and helping her teammates score effectively.

Head coach Stephanie White praised Clark’s return to form, noting improved burst, shooting confidence, and overall physical rhythm. The Fever improved to 2–2 on the season despite missing key players, including Aliyah Boston, due to injury.

Clark’s recent performances signal a strong rebound after early-season shooting struggles, as Indiana continues working toward consistency on both ends of the court.
