The teen had travelled to the coast for a festival when she was short circuited.
The organisers of the widely attended Summer Tides festival were prompted to officially address and dismiss the growing rumours surrounding the tragic death of Venice.
Speaking to the festival’s communications team clarified that the event took place from Friday, 4 July, to Saturday, 5 July, at Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort in Diani.
They emphasised that Venice was not staying at the venue and did not pass away during the festival.
According to them, she died on the Monday after the event had concluded.
The organisers strongly denied claims that her death occurred at the concert location and stressed that ensuring the safety and well-being of all attendees has always been their top priority.
On Friday, 11 July, one of Venice’s friends shared that they would hold a candlelit vigil at her home in Ongata Rongai.
She posted numerous photos from the beach at sunrise, not long before her death.
The sun painted the sky a scenic orange as it rose over the Indian Ocean, while they sat on the beach watching it.
"She made sure we saw the sunrise after missing it at Summer Tides," the friend wrote.
She then shared details about the vigil for her dear friend.
“Hey, I hope you are well. So, guys, today we are having our girl’s candle lighting. You are all welcome. It starts at 6pm,” she announced.
