Venice Kwamboka: 5 Photos of Young Woman Who Died at Summer Tides
Summer Tides, a much-hyped festival in Diani, turned tragic following the death of a young lady, Venice Kwamboka.

The festival started on Thursday, July 3, and saw revellers travel from Nairobi to have a good time. However, many faced challenges returning to Nairobi after the SGR train was cancelled and police blocked the Dongo Kundu bypass.
.co.ke compiled photos of the young lady whose death has cast a dark shadow on the festival, which had a massive turnout.
Kwamboka’s death was first publicly shared by social media influencer Wanjiku Stephens.
Wanjiku shared a photo of Kwamboka holding a bouquet during her 19th birthday celebrations.
She looked gorgeous in a white dress, and the bouquet had money. Kwamboka pleasantly smiled at the camera at what appeared to be a hotel.
"Happy 19th birthday, Venice," a message on the bouquet read.
“Rest well, heaven has gained an angel,” Wanjiku wrote.

According to information shared with Wanjiku, Kwamboka had an electrical short-circuit accident during the festival.
In the comments section, one netizen recalled seeing the deceased being wheeled into an ambulance.
A woman working in a hospital also recounted when she was wheeled into the facility.
Another Instagram user claiming to be Kwamboka’s cousin said her death dealt a huge blow to her family.

According to her Instagram account, Kwamboka marked her 19th birthday in February.
She was joyous during the celebrations, and in the caption, shared her trust and belief in God.
"Trusting God is the greatest weapon," she wrote.

Kwamboka was active on social media and often shared videos of her travels.
She loved visiting restaurants with friends and capturing the precious moments.
Kwamboka was well-travelled in Kenya and had been to most of the upscale restaurants.

Kwamboka had a loving family and shared a photo of them spending Christmas together.
The photo showed her mother and father seated, while Kwamboka and her siblings stood behind them.
She had a sister and two brothers.

She stressed the importance of personal readiness before seeking external help. Her heartfelt response resonated with many Kenyans, who flooded her page with prayers and messages of support during this deeply painful period.
