His distinguished acting prowess has particularly captivated audiences in India over the years, leaving many spellbound.
In a recent interview with ANI, Hardy revealed his profound desire to visit India, stating, "I'd love to go and visit India. It's not something I've done yet, it's something I really, really want to do in my life." This declaration from the Oscar-nominated actor suggests a potential future visit that would undoubtedly delight his Indian fanbase.
Meanwhile, Tom Hardy is currently garnering significant praise for his role in the new gangster drama, 'MobLand.' This much-anticipated project features a stellar cast, including veteran actor Pierce Brosnan and the legendary actress Helen Mirren. Hardy shared his enthusiasm about working with Brosnan, noting, "I've wanted to work with Pierce Brosnan for a long time, and I went to the same drama school as him, so it was a privilege to work with him because he's a fantastic actor. He's got such range, he's really professional, and he's got lots of versatility, and he's a super smart and wicked actor. I had a great time with him."
'MobLand' also marks a significant reunion for Tom Hardy with acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie, following their last collaboration on 2008's 'RocknRolla.' Hardy expressed his admiration for Ritchie, adding, "I love Guy Ritchie. I've wanted to work with him for ages since I did RocknRolla. So it was brilliant to be able to get back to work with him and have a bit more meat on the bone."
The plot of 'MobLand' centers on a London-based Irish crime family, led by Brosnan's character Conrad, as they engage in a fierce struggle for power within a global syndicate. Helen Mirren portrays Maeve, Conrad's wife, described in the trailer as "the brains behind the charm," while Hardy takes on the role of Harry Da Souza, the family's fixer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The series is currently available for streaming on Paramount+ and JioHotstar.
