TMNT Mania Unleashed: Paramount Expands Franchise with Digital Series, Novel, and Mattel Partnership
Paramount expands the TMNT franchise with a digital series, adult and middle-grade novels, and a Mattel toy partnership, offering fans new ways to engage with the heroes in a half shell.
Paramount is rolling out a major expansion of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) franchise under new Skydance management, celebrating over 40 years of cross-generational appeal. The initiative includes digital content, books, toys, and immersive experiences for fans of all ages.
For younger audiences, Teeny Mutant Ninja Turtles is a 30-episode CG-animated series launching on YouTube, following the Turtles’ childhood adventures in four-minute installments.
Adult fans will see a full novelization of the hit graphic novel The Last Ronin published by Abrams in June, written by Erik Burnham, while middle-grade readers will get Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splinter’s Dojo via Scholastic in September.
Paramount has partnered with Mattel for a new line of TMNT toys, including action figures, playsets, collectibles, and roleplay items, timed with upcoming film releases in 2027 and 2028.
The franchise is also exploring new entertainment avenues, including a VR game Empire City, Magic: The Gathering tie-ins, and a theatrical re-release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze for its 35th anniversary from March 13–19.
Josh Silverman, Paramount's president of global products and experiences, said, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is full of action, humor and heart,” emphasizing the franchise’s enduring popularity and its ability to connect with fans worldwide across multiple media.
