Tinubu's Ultimatum to Service Chiefs: 'Deliver Results on Insecurity Now!'

President Bola Tinubu convened a crucial closed-door meeting with security chiefs and heads of intelligence agencies at the State House, Abuja, on Tuesday. The high-level session, which lasted for over an hour at the President's first-floor office, focused intensely on the nation's pressing security challenges. President Tinubu unequivocally demanded heightened efficiency in strategies and tangible results in the ongoing fight against various forms of insecurity plaguing parts of Nigeria, including banditry and terrorism.
Following the extensive discussions, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede, addressed newsmen, characterizing the meeting as "quite engaging." General Oluyede revealed that President Tinubu issued new directions and directives specifically aimed at achieving better and faster outcomes in addressing the pervasive insecurity. He further assured the Nigerian populace that the security agencies are significantly enhancing their coordination efforts to guarantee a peaceful yuletide celebration across the country.
The esteemed list of attendees at this pivotal meeting included a comprehensive representation of Nigeria's top military and intelligence leadership. Among those present were Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Wahidi Shaibu; Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral I. Abbas; and Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke.
