Tinubu's Bold Military Expansion Draws Widespread Acclaim

The Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Centre, a prominent pro-All Progressives Congress (APC) support group, has expressed profound commendation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's recent strategic approvals, viewing them as pivotal steps towards fortifying national security and advancing human capital development. This appreciation was voiced during the group's comprehensive stakeholders’ meeting held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, where a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilization for President Tinubu, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, and all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections was also affirmed.

A significant highlight of the group's commendation was President Tinubu’s approval for the recruitment of an impressive 28,000 personnel into the Nigerian Army. This move was lauded as the largest military expansion in recent years, unequivocally demonstrating the federal government’s resolute commitment to effectively addressing and mitigating the nation’s multifaceted security challenges. In a statement issued by its director general, Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri, the Centre emphasized the crucial role of this expansion in bolstering national defense capabilities.

Further enhancing the nation’s security architecture, President Tinubu also received praise for authorizing the establishment of four additional Nigerian Army divisions. Notably, three of these new formations are strategically designated for northern Nigeria: the 5th Division in Makurdi, Benue State; the 9th Division in Ilorin, Kwara State; and the 10th Division in Jalingo, Taraba State. This thoughtful decision, according to the Centre, underscores the administration's unwavering dedication to improving security provisions and safeguarding lives and property, particularly in the northern regions of the country that have faced significant security concerns.

Beyond security, the Federal Government’s initiatives in social protection and human capital development were also warmly applauded. The Centre specifically highlighted the recent launch of a substantial $3.05 billion package, comprising five meticulously coordinated programmes. These transformative initiatives include the Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES), the Solutions for Internally Displaced and Host Communities (SOLID) programme, and the Human Capital Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity (HOPE) package. These programmes are designed to foster resilience, provide solutions for vulnerable populations, and unlock opportunities for human capital growth across Nigeria.

The commendations extended to Katsina State, where Governor Dikko Umaru Radda was lauded for what the Centre described as remarkable achievements across various sectors. His administration’s impact in areas such as security, education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure received particular recognition. The group specifically applauded Governor Radda’s recent executive order aimed at strengthening the fight against insecurity, observing that these measures have already begun yielding discernible positive results during the current farming season, providing much-needed relief to farming communities.

In the education sector, the Katsina State Government’s commitment was evident through the recruitment of an additional 2,158 teachers. This brings the total number of teachers employed under the Radda administration to an impressive 9,481 since its inauguration. According to the Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Centre, these comprehensive education reforms have effectively positioned Katsina State as a leading reference point for educational development and innovation throughout Nigeria.

The stakeholders’ meeting itself was a robust assembly, drawing representatives from 6,652 polling units, 361 wards, and all 34 local government areas within Katsina State. The attendees collectively resolved to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts. This concerted action is geared towards ensuring an overwhelming victory for President Tinubu, Governor Radda, and all other APC candidates in the highly anticipated 2027 general elections, solidifying the party's mandate.

Established by former Katsina State Governor, Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, who honorably serves as the group’s Grand Patron, the Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Centre reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to actively mobilizing women and youths across Katsina State in robust support of the All Progressives Congress leading up to the pivotal 2027 polls.
